I never realized your importance in my(our) life. It’s blazingly clear after your absence. You kept our family connected. Our bridge. I have been avoidant in saying anything about the passing of one of my best friends. She knew more about me than I ever knew about myself or ever will. I’ve never lost someone so close to me. It’s been a journey of memories good and bad but the good shines far brighter. I realized so much after she left. What she did for me and who she was for me. A champion who didn’t judge me. Made sure I kept going. I miss it every day. I used to be annoyed with her constant checking in on me. I understand completely now that it was out of her pure love for me. Makes it hurt just a bit more that I couldn’t have shown her my appreciation while she was shining bright amongst us. 🌻 I want to have a shot with her at 4 am talking about our deepest thoughts and feelings about life holding hands and crying or laughing or both. She was the smartest person I have known. Understood everything I threw at her and was open to all ideas. I am lost without her guidance yet still hear her constantly pushing me in directions to better myself. I will forever see you waving goodbye to me from your front porch until you could not see me any longer. It’s what I cherish most. I thank you for all the memories. I love you so much and I will miss you until we meet again 🫶🏽
