Obituary
Shawn Douglas Johnson, 29, of Elgin, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at his residence. A Viewing will be held at Loveland Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 14, 2024 5:00pm – 7:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Elgin Stampede Hall on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:00am. Casual dress is preferred by the family.
Shawn, also known as “Noodle” or “Shawnie”, was born on May 5, 1994 in La Grande, Oregon to Stan and Lisa (Crowson) Johnson. He was an FFA Member and graduated from Elgin High School in 2012.
Shawn worked in the construction field and was a handy man. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, going on drives, he loved helping others, loved being an uncle, and a very hard worker. He was proud of his nieces and nephews and loved them so much. He was also protective of his mom and considered her one of the best.
Shawn is survived by his parents, Stan and Lisa of Elgin; sisters, Lisa Lathrop and Bobbie Jenkins (Brad) both of Elgin, OR; brothers, Robert Medellin (Jamie) and James Johnson (Khirenda) both of Elgin, OR and 11 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Corinne Crowson and grandmother Sherry Schoenwald, and nephew Kael Lathrop.
