JERRYSTRONG
"My son, Jerry Kenneth Walther, was born January 30, 2007. Jerry loved basketball, football and came to love lacrosse. He was an amazing natural athlete. He had a very contagious smile that would light up a room, and he always made an entrance! Jerry was the first person to try to make you smile. He would give you the best hug that just made you feel better on a bad day. he could bat his eyes and make your heart flutter.
On May 29, 2022, being the 15-year-old that he was, Jerry snuck out of the house with his electronic skateboard. On his way home, he was hit by a car. Jerry was flown by helicopter to Morristown Medical Center, where he fought very hard for 16 days, but due to the extent of his injuries, he passed away on June 16, 2022. Jerry was born at 6:57 am and passed away at 6:57 pm.
With the support of NJ Sharing Network, Jerry donated his kidneys and his liver and saved the lives of two women. In his 15 short years, Jerry made his mark on this world and has left a heroic and inspiring legacy. #JerryStrong is a reminder to us all that something good can come even on the worst day. It also reminds us to try to be good human beings - it doesn’t cost anything to be kind.If you see someone who needs a smile, give them one of yours. You never know what a person is battling that day. Everyone has a story. Hugs heal??
