Esteban C. Garza IV, 20, passed away unexpectedly on October 25,2025 leaving behind an unforgettable impact on others. Esteban “Stevie” was born on November 17th, 2004, to Esteban S. Garza III and Yvette Ann Castillo. From an early age Esteban was a bright light beaming in every direction. Esteban was charismatic, kind, funny, genuine and just about the most extroverted person you would have ever met.
Esteban put family and friends at the top of his list always carving out time to make memories and share laughs. Esteban graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2023 and began working as an EMT-B for Allegiance Mobile Health. He deeply enjoyed saving lives and “being a hero”. Esteban loved serving his community and touching lives in the simplest of ways. Esteban continued his education as a Roadrunner at the University of Texas in San Antionio. Esteban was majoring in Neuroscience hoping to graduate and begin applying for Med Schools.
To many, Esteban was just about the greatest person they had ever met. His energy, humor, and kindness are just some of the qualities that will be missed. Esteban had a unique way of making everyone he encountered feel special even if it was just for a short moment. Esteban had the ability to make everyone he interacted with feel heard and seen.
Esteban is reunited in heaven with his beloved grandparents Ricardo L. Castillo, Maria Guadalupe Sanchez Garza, his uncle Luis Rodriguez; his pet parrots Sapphire Garza, Sprite Garza; and numerous other family relatives. Esteban leaves behind his parents Esteban S. Garza III and Yvette Ann Castillo; his brother Carlos L. Garza; his sister Estrella M. Garza; his nieces Ysabella N. Rodela, Olivia M. Rodela; his grandparents Esteban Garza Jr., Esmeralda Ruiz, Eloisa Villarreal, Jose Rodriguez, Yara Castillo; his aunts Christina Garza, Stephanie Garza, Angie Castillo, Ivonne Rodriguez, Valerie Rodriguez; his uncles Adrian Garza, Jorge Garza, Roberto Garza, Richard Castillo; his dog Zoey Garza and his dearest friends Joseph Fuller, Camden Korsmo, and Isabella Moren. Esteban was also well loved by his many friends from various chapters of his life.
Esteban was like no other. His spontaneous nature left for great stories. In his free time Esteban made trips to Austin, College Station, Dallas and even did an annual Oklahoma trip. When Esteban wasn’t making memories he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, but most importantly being with friends and family. Esteban left a lasting imprint. Esteban will continue to live on in everyone he encountered. He is the definition of someone gone too soon.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, November 9, 2025 beginning at 10:00 AM. A Prayer Service will follow at 1:00 PM with the Interment to take place at 4:00 PM at Duncan Cemetery.
