Peacefully on June 22, 2022, after a short yet courageous battle, Sandra Sheridan (Shaw) passed away at 78 years of age. She left this world surrounded by love.
Sandra was born in Renfrew, Ontario on September 5th, 1943 to proud parents Agnes and Evans Shaw. A true ‘valley girl’, her spirit always longed for time with family along the Ottawa River and many would say her heart never left. She moved from the valley in 1963 to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. After a few years of teaching in the big city of Toronto, she returned to Renfrew to start a new life. She then settled in Ottawa and obtained employment within the Federal Government. It was there she met the love of her life, Robert. After the birth of their second child, Sandra left the working world to follow her true passion of being a mother. Her children and grandchildren were the greatest gifts of her life and her love for them was second to none. For Sandra, nothing was more important than family. She cared so deeply for those in her life, and we are so very blessed to have had her in ours. Her loss leaves a void that nothing can fill.
Survived by her husband Robert Sheridan, daughters Stephanie Moorman (Paul), Julie Sheridan-Cole (Jonathan) and Karen Johnson (George). Sister to Doug Shaw (Sandra), Peter Shaw (Linda) and Jane Gagnon (Kevin). Loving Nana to Sheridan, Andrew, Nathan, Abigail (Alex), Olivia, Jack, Lily and Philip. Lovingly remembered by Hugh Grout (father to Sheridan, Andrew, Nathan and Abigail) and family, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
