In Loving Memory of Rodney Driedger

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Rodney William Driedger was born on October 22, 1992, in Grande Prairie, AB as the first born son to George and Margaret Driedger.
He was born again and then baptized upon his confession of faith on April 25, 2015. He reached the age of 31 years, 7 months and 3 days.
As a young boy he moved with his parents to Slave Lake and spent his growing up years in that area. He always thought he had the fastest sneakers, he loved riding his bike and playing with his cousins and friends. Raising and butchering pigs was something he enjoyed. Going along with his dad on the service truck and working together on equipment were highlights. This is where his love of mechanics began.
He found the love of his life, Jodi Helen Peters, and they were married on February 13, 2016 in Slave Lake. They were married for 8 years, 3 months and 12 days, and were blessed with 3 beautiful boys with their 4th baby boy due in June. He was a loving husband and father who loved spending time with his precious sons: catching ball, skating, and fishing. He would often take the boys to his work place so his wife could enjoy some time alone. As a family they enjoyed camping, going to the beach and having picnics at the park. He was a good friend to many, and was always willing to lend a hand.
On May 25th, Rodney went to work in the late morning. Around 6pm, Jodi was getting frantic because she had tried contacting him since 3pm, and he was not responding. She called her brother Scott, and while he stayed with the boys, she and Rodney's brother Chriswent looking for him. They found him in his car, unresponsive, and Jodi's life was forever changed. The autopsy showed 3 clogged arteries which resulted in a heart attack.

He is greatly missed by his beautiful wife, Jodi, and their boys, Kaiden William (age 7), Parker James (age 5), Bradley Rhett (age 3), and Layton Rodney (born June 19, 2024).

He also leaves behind his parents George and Margaret, his sister Jennifer, and his brother Christopher. He will also be missed by his in-laws, and many nephews and nieces, by his grandparents, and other relatives and friends.

Until we meet again!
We think about you always.
We talk about you still.
You have never been forgotten.
And you never will.
We hold you close within our hearts.
And there you will remain.
To walk and guide us through our lives.
Until we meet again.
